Immediately after graduating from Bryn Mawr, Liselle moves to New York City. At first she feels as if she is satisfying every other American citizen's dreams of living in the big city. She gets a job at a startup called Media Inc, and makes friends with a few of her coworkers. Despite all of the things Liselle loves about New York, she feels isolated and alone. After two years in the city, she relocates back to her hometown, Philadelphia.
