The Crucible What is the significance of the scene between Herrick and the accused witches in Act 4? Asked by CrucibleLover on 19 Nov 00:39 Last updated by anonymous on 26 Jul 12:33
I believe it showed how the accused lost faith in God because of the court system and put faith in the Devil. Tituba and Sarah Good waited for the Devil to take them to Barbados. The Devil seemed to be the only hope in the dungeon.
