I think this is more mixed drama with entertainment. Coming of age is an important theme in the novel “The Crossover” by Kwame Alexander. Thematically, coming of age includes the moral, emotional, and even spiritual maturation of an individual, usually young, based on experiences, challenges, and difficulties in life. In the novel “The Crossover”, the character of Josh comes of age as his world, and everything he knows, changes before his eyes.
