What happened to Egion and his family after a rock broke apart the boat they were riding home on?

According to his story in Act 1, Scene 1, Egion and his family were on a ship set sail for Syracuse when bad weather caused them to have trouble; they had to tie themselves to the mast to keep from falling overboard.
