Who is PRince Tristan from The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty and what is their importance?

Tristan is a handsome, blonde naked prince. He is also sentenced to the Village and kidnapped. He undergoes most of the same events as Laurent, with the exception of the first encounter with Lexius and the addition of personal time with the Sultan. He is in love with his Master, Nicolas the Queen's Chronicler, and mourns him when he is kidnapped.
