Who is Carmen Hall from The Chamber and what is their importance?

Carmen Hall is Eddie and Evelyn's daughter, which makes her Sam Cayhill's granddaughter. Carmen knows nothing of her relationship to Cayhill until after her father's death. She meets Cayhill once while he is in prison and awaiting execution.
