How does Shadwell tell Karim to portray his character in The Jungle Book, and how does Karim react?

Shadwell directs Karim to play Mowgli with dark make-up and an Indian accent, turning the character into a racist character. Karim is upset about this, but finally caves in and agrees. Although he is feeling more confident overall, he does not stand up for himself in this case.
