Who is Andy Evans from The Broken Bridge?

Outside of Ginny, Andy is the only black resident in the town of Llangynog. Because of their race, Andy and Ginny find a certain comfort in each other.... a sense of belonging in a place they don't feel as if they belong. Over the course of the novel, we see Ginny's growing feelings for Andy.... a romantic interest. At least until she learns that he's gay.
