The Therapeutea community symbolizes freedom. Though Yaltha and Ana originally come to the Lake Mareotis community to escape Haran's threats, they find a new home here. In the years to come, the Therapeutea not only provides them safety from their oppressors, but affords them the space and liberty to speak, worship, and live without restriction or judgement.
