Dr. Jesus Slalzar is the medical examiner for Los Angeles County. Salazar and Bosch met while canvassing the rubble of the Symbionese Liberation Army house looking for any sign of Patty Hearst. They stayed in contact afterward, and often compared hypothesis and opinions on other cases.
