Who is Mr. Trigg in The Birds by Daphne du Maurier?

Mr. Trigg and his wife live next door to Nat Hocken and his family. Mr. Trigg is also Nat's boss. Unlike Nat, Trigg doesn't think the birds pose such a big threat, as a result, he and his family are killed by the birds at the end of the story.
