Who is Two Men on the Beach from The Big Wave and what is their importance?

The two men on the beach are orphaned by the big wave. They once lived in the outhouses of the Old Gentleman's castle, but later decided to rebuild their home on the beach and return to the sea. The Old Gentleman thinks they are foolish, but Jiya is inspired by their actions.
