Who is Hal Dietrich from The Best Little Girl in the World?

Harold Dietrich is Francesca's father. Hal is a hardworking man, who spends most of his time working to afford his family a good life.... being the provider. Over the course of Francesca's illness, Hal becomes aware of the fact that his family likely needed his attention as much as they needed what he gave them. When Francesca is released form the hospital, he makes it a point to be there and to make sure she understands her importance.
