What is the author's style in Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich?

The book is written in third person and alternates between Megan and Patrick's point of view. This works well for the reader because it offers insight into the thoughts of both of the main characters. By not limiting the point of view to only one, both characters are presented on a much deeper level than would have been possible through a more limited point of view. The fact that the reader gets a look into the thoughts of both characters is vital to the story presentation.
