What was Adam's homecoming like?

When Adam came home, he got off the plan with the other passengers. There was no ceremony or celebration. Just Saskia waited for him. Another woman runs toward him, and she asks him what happened to her husband. That was how Adam came home. Those were the only welcoming words he received.
