What has Michael Emory's life been like since he came home?

Since Michael came home, his life has taken place in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and now a double-wide trailer south of Atlanta. He was supposed to die, but did not. He was never supposed to walk or talk again, but he does both. The bullet to his brain ruined the part that regulates emotions and impulse control. He went berserk one day in his truck and tried to kill his wife while his daughter was in the car. His wife divorced him and moved to Texas with their daughter. Michael tried living with his mother for a while, but they did not get along. Now he lives in the trailer and has an aide help him with dressing.
