In Chapter 7, what does Amanda do for the anniversary of James's death?

For the anniversary of James's death, Amanda will put up a new flag. She will take Sally and the girls to breakfast and give the girls new necklaces. Then they will have their nails done and eat cupcakes. She will drop the girls off at school and go to a movie with Sally. By the time the movie ends, the time when James died will have passed, and there will be nothing else Amanda can do except start to feel better.
