Late afternoon, Adam and his family pull up to their home. The front steps of the house seem like the most peaceful place in the world. The wind is not gusting. The clouds are not skidding. The bushes are not bending, and the birds are not cartwheeling. Adam feels very alive, and he wishes that the moment can last.
