What is odd about Monmaney and Allman's question is Chapter 14?

At the beginning of Chapter 11, Nick goes to the fountain outside the Academy. He imagines an entire orchestra of nude women playing an ode to cigarettes from Carmen, and atop the fountain, he imagines himself and Heather. Soon thereafter, Nick calls Heather.
