What does the reader learn about Gazelle in Chapter 7?

In Chapter 7, Gazelle makes a smart comment to Nick, and he recalls that soon after he hired her they slept together. THe night was secretive and not entirely satisfying, and ever since he has not really been able to treat her like a boss.
