The nico-terrorists in Chapter 11 strip Nick down and cover his body with 40 nicotine patches, the equivalent of 40 packs of cigarettes at once. Once he is nearly dead, they put a sign around his neck saying Executed for Crimes Against Humanity and left to die on the grounds of the National Mall.
