Comment on style/language

Tess of the Road is a book with a lot of intricate themes and vocabulary. It is clearly meant for more mature, young adults, especially those who face similar problems as Tess. While the story itself is relatively easy to understand, there is a large variety of complex vocabulary words. However, this is offset by detailed context clues and occasional character explanations.
