At first, the Taylors' home seems like a place of comfort and safety, with the lights and thumping party music and the twinkling of wine glasses and conversation like there is a party going on inside. But later when Meg and T.J. go inside and find the music/party is on a timer every night at 5 pm, and find the Taylors' corpses in their bed, along with the bodies of Nathan and Kenny, killed quite horrifically, it becomes a site of death and trauma and earns the name, "The House of Many Dead People."
