Who is Madge from Tales of Ordinary Madness and what is their importance?

Madge is Harry's girlfriend in the story, Reunion. She is a heavy drinker and smoker, and Harry suspects her of infidelity. Madge hates it when Harry calls her names or hits her, but she remains with him because she truly loves him. She does not help enforce an alcohol-free lifestyle for Harry and immediately offers him a drink when he returns home from rehab.
