How does Pericles end up marrying Thaisa?

Having fled his home of Tyre, Pericles is cast upon the shore of Pentapolis, where a tournament is about to take place. The winner of the tournament will wed the princess. He wins and he and princess Thaisa wed, having both immediately fallen in love.
