Who is The New Sybil from Sybil and what is their importance?

The new Sybil is a fully integrated, whole person. She has all the memories of her life, she is able to do her own arithmetic, buy material for dresses, and to ride the bus. The new Sybil can verbalize her feelings and work through them without hiding.... without allowing one of the others take over. She is preparing for a move to Pennsylvania and a new job as an occupational therapist. The new Sybil no longer needs Dr. Wilbur to guide her through her past.
