In Chapter 4, how do the Teddy Boys contradict themselves?

The Teddy Boys, a group made up of angry working class participants, hate blacks and even commit violence against them, yet they enjoy listening to the music produced by the very ones they do not like. Many say this is a complete contradiction, but the Teddy Boys do not see it that way. They view them as two separate activities that have no relevance to one another.
