Who is Madam Vesant from Stranger in a Strange Land and what is their importance?

Madam Vesant is an astrologer. She reads Mrs. Douglas' chart and is one of Jubal's good friends. Vesant also works with Jubal to influence Secretary Douglas through his wife. She later becomes a member of Michael's church and adjusts her belief in astrology to fit with the new ideas Michael teaches.
