In chapter twenty-three Harry has to walk away from an injured Murphy. What is Harry thinking of as he walks away?

He hates himself fro walking away not knowing if Murphy was going to live. He also hates thinking about the killer and the body of those that have been killed already. Harry realizes that what he hates the most is the person that is responsible for the murders that are happening.
