What is Athene's Breastplate?

Athene's breastplate is symbolic of power. Athene is proud of the breastplate as it makes her feel like an equal to the other gods. It augments her sense of control and authority after she affixes the Gorgoneion to it. However, her power soon proves dangerous when the Gorgoneion petrifies her followers.
