What is the setting of Soulless by Gail Carriger?

The overall setting for the novel is London, England. The different scenes move from one home to another. Alexia Tabatti lives with her mother, two sisters, and stepfather. Alexia visits the BUR which is an office on the order of Scotland Yard for the supernaturals in London. She also visits the vampires' hive to meet with the queen vampire and some of her council members. Alexia attends a few balls which are simply a vehicle for a conversation to move the story along.
