Fitch is a kitchen worker and although he does not mean to demean the Ander, he sometimes speaks out of turn and blames himself for his actions. Fitch believes that sometimes the Anders take offense too easily, but he knows insensitivity and ingornace lead to misunderstandings. Fitch's father is not in the picture and his mother often saw men who thought Fitch was nothing more than an annoyance.
