Who is Jordan Addison Hawthorne from Something Wonderful and what is their importance?

Jordan is the hero of the novel; his official title in the story is Duke of Hawthorne. He is a jaded man that believes all women are conniving opportunists that don't care about anyone but themselves. He is taught at an early age that women only serve one purpose, which is to please men. Besides that, they are not allowed to think or do anything for themselves, which is why they are so bored and bad.
