Who is Geoffrey from Something Blue and what is their importance?

Geoffrey is a successful doctor living in London. He is also divorced and shares custody of his four -year-old son, Max. Geoffrey is Darcy's initial Ob/Gyn in London. When Geoffrey finds out Darcy is having twin boys, he is quietly overjoyed for the beautiful stranger. When Geoffrey sees Darcy again at Meg's party, he unwittingly embarrasses her with what he thinks is good news. To apologize, and to get to know her better, Geoffrey offers to drive Darcy home.
