How does the author use foreshadowing in Something Blue?

In Chapter Eight, Darcy wakes up with Dex and Rachel on her mind. When she wakes up Marcus to discuss Rachel and Dex, this is a foreshadowing of what is to become of Darcy. Her pregnancy and life with Marcus has been put out of her mind as she now focuses on having been wronged by Rachel and Dex.
