Who is Arthur Kingfisher?

Arthur Kingfisher is an older man who once held a hallowed place in academic circles; to some extent, despite having retired, he still does. Kingfisher held the department chairs at Columbia and Zurich universities simultaneously. Currently he has a young, female Korean companion but feels his brain has atrophied with his libido so although he still contributes editing and consulting services to various presses and organizations, he does not speak at conferences anymore.
