What has happened to Howard Ringbaum?

Howard Ringbaum has been left by his wife, Thelma, who began a romance with Morris Zapp at the conference in Jerusalem, right under Howard's nose. He cannot attend the MLA conference because he has been barred from airlines for soliciting sex from a flight attendant.
