Slam has a great opportunity at Latimer, but at first he takes it for granted. Basketball is his first love, but Latimer isn't Carver. Slam is expected to get his grades up and keep them up.... he's expected to follow the rules and be on time. He has a bit of difficulty, but he eventually comes to make friends, and most of all, find a mentor in his coach.
