Who is Mr. Majumdar from Sister of My Heart and what is their importance?

Mr. Majumdar is Sunil's father. Majumdar is hot headed and pompous. During the bride viewing he tells Anju's family that he has no qualms about breaking off Anju and Sunil's engagement, or even their marriage if he finds any scandal in Anju's family. Majumdar is abusive and cruel to his wife and his son.
