Who is Mrs. Hughes?

Mrs. Hughes was Ryan's teacher during 4th and 5th grades. She taught in a classroom for kids who misbehaved too severely in regular classrooms. She worked tirelessly to care for her students and help them enjoy learning. She made them memorize Dr. Martin Luther King's words. She wanted to inspire them that they could change their lives. She and Mr. Hughes cared for and encouraged Ryan throughout the years, even supporting him to go on a class trip to the Metropolitan Opera House. She and Mr. Hughes visited Ryan when he sang at a concert in Austria. Ryan attributed much of his success to the Hughes.
