In Tamsin’s dreams, unicorns are a representation of the Goddess herself. Many believe that seeing the unicorn is just a symbol for good luck. Over time, however, Tamsin sees the unicorn in progressively worse situations from surrounded by dark mist to attacked by the Children. As they burn the bodies of those killed in the Fort, Tamsin sees the unicorn one more time. This is proof that the Goddess is still watching over them, even if none of them are aware or believe it.
