Importance of Caitriona

Caitriona is one of the Nine who was promoted to the position of High Priestess after Viviane’s death. She is extremely dedicated to her people, compassionate, and exceedingly brave. However, due to the battle between the sorceresses and druids, she has an extreme distrust of Neve, but comes to respect her throughout the novel. After the Children attack the tower and Cabell transforms in the chaos, Caitriona defends Neve while refusing to kill Cabell. This leads to him gravely injuring her and, even though she survives, it is uncertain if she will regain full use of her arm. However, that does not stop her from fighting the revenant or performing the purification spell. Caitriona joins Olwen, Tamsin, and Neve in the mortal realm at the end of the novel.
