Who is Alice?

Alice is Shenkman's wife and Waldo's mother. She is much kinder, often playing the part of the warm, caring parent to Shenkman's strict and angry one. She is a lawyer by trade. She dies young of cancer sometime in the middle of the 2010s. Her disappearance from Waldo's life has a profound effect on him. She is the parent that spends more time with Waldo and offers him comfort after Shenkman gets angry.
