Adrian Ivashkov from Shadow Kiss is the current Moroi queen's nephew. He is able to also do spirit magic, and initially seeks out Lissa in order to learn from her and for them both to share what they have learned about their gift. He actually has a crush on Rose, though. When he guesses her feelings for Dimitri he still continues to pursue her, thinking that she will see the futility of loving her teacher. When Dimitri is turned into a Strigoi, he gives Rose the money to hunt him down and kill him.
