What is the author's style in Separation of Power by Vince Flynn?

Flynn tells the story in the third person omniscient, revealing the thoughts of all the major characters and most of the minor ones as well. The two main characters are Mitch Rapp and Hank Clark. Flynn presents these two characters as the two people who control the story. Within Rapp and Clark's separate storylines, the other characters tend to rely on their point of view to guide them. When Mitch goes to Iraq, he controls the whole mission, despite the fact he is not the commander. The other characters respect him so much, no one raises this as a problem. At the end of the book, Mitch orders the President to leave the room, a reversal of positions that the President is willing to obey. On Hank Clark's side of the story, he manipulates Albert Rudin and Jonathan until they are thinking exactly how he wants him to think.
