Mrs. Plum is the wife of Willis Plum, and the mother of his daughters. Mrs. Plum is also usually drunk but is responsive to Kelly Cruz's questions. She knows far more about her daughters' lifestyle than her husband does and has been aware of him abusing them for years, though she chose to ignore it. While being questioned by Jesse at the end of the novel she provides him with the final pieces of the puzzle, allowing him to arrest Mr. Plum for the murder of Florence Horvath.
