What happens when Mame Tézac has a stroke?

With not-subtle foreshadowing, Bertrand cannot be reached, so Julia gets the call, and goes to the nursing home, and when talking to a sister, speculates whether Bertrand has been with Amélie (who is new to the story). The sister says that Bertrand is picking her up on his way to the nursing home, and hangs up on Julia.
