Julia goes to meet with Gaspard DuFaure, the grandson of Jules and Geneviève DuFaure. Gaspard tells Julia about Sarah as a young woman, and he tells her that she was a melancholy woman, whom no one knew was a Jewish refugee. Julia learns that Sarah left for the U.S. in 1952 to become a nanny in New York, and she ceased to be in touch after 1955.
