What is Settsu Coast?

The Settsu Coast, near modern-day Kobe, is one of the areas of Japan where Taira power is strongest. The Settsu Coast is mountainous and home to Ichi-no-Tani and Ikuta-no-Mori, two Taira defenses that are attacked and taken by Yoshitsune and the Minamoto troops. Their taking causes the Taira to withdraw to their only remaining sanctuary, near the strait of Dan-no-Ura.
