Who is Jordan McAfee from Salem Falls and what is their importance?

Jordan McAfee is the father of Thomas McAfee and a public defender. He is the former lover of Selena Damascus, and there are still some feelings between them. Jordan defends Jack St. Bride when Gillian Duncan accuses Jack of rape. Jordan does not believe Jack is innocent at first, but slowly comes around to Jack's side. He is able to get Jack acquitted when he proves Gillian lied about the events of the night.
